Short on time and don’t really have time to prepare for your next certification exam.

Trust me. I’ve been there.

You have a couple of days left before your exam and you don’t really have time to study, go over the Facebook Blueprint courses and want the easy route.

Or… you’ve been going over the Facebook Blueprint courses and don’t find them much useful but you still want to prepare for your next certification exam.

Here is a list of 8 things you should definitely go over to help you better prepare for your next Facebook Blueprint certification exam:

#1 Understand and go over campaign optimization graph below

Make sure you fully understand the difference between the auction and reach and frequency purchase options in Facebook. Understand in what situations or moments you need to use one over the other.

Predictability vs. Flexibility

This is one of the biggest topics and number of questions you will get in the certification exams. So if you want to be well prepared, make sure you understand the difference between both.

If you are not sure about it, just go over our study guide and understand when to use what type of optimization.

#2 Read the section on Facebook Troubleshooting Ads at least once

Even if you’ve had extensive experience using Facebook, I highly recommend going over the troubleshooting guide.

There were a number of issues I did not know existed in Facebook. It definitely helped during one of the exams. Some of the questions are basic, but others are not so intuitive or you will never need it but will be asked on the exam.

#3 Read Facebook Budget, Budding, Scheduling and Charges section at least once

Key is understanding budget, bidding, scheduling and charges to Facebook. It’s basic knowledge to most, but just quick reminder of a couple of aspects that one can forget with time.

Not super important but a quick refresher is always helpful.

#4 Read the Effective Frequency: Reaching Full Campaign Potential from Facebook IQ

This one is a must!

You should definitely read the blog post and white paper on the study Facebook conducted regarding the effectiveness of reach and frequency with Facebook ads.

Going through white paper will help you better understand situations, case studies or examples where you should use auction versus reach and frequency buying on Facebook.

#5 Read the Reach Matters: Driving Business Results at Scale from Facebook IQ

Also a must!

It will help clarify a number of optimization options on Facebook and how to better use the different facebook ads available on the platform.

It also gives good data and concrete examples that are helpful.

#6 Go through our study guide at least once in order to cover most topics

I tried to summarize most topics that will be covered in both exams. It’s slowly becoming longer but has summary of key points for you to go over.

It will take 45-60 minutes to read the whole thing but will save you plenty of time 🙂

#7 Play around with Facebook Ads Guide

If you’ve never run any ads, I highly recommend using this tool.

Some of the questions in the exam are very specific with regards to running ads, formats, and so on.

The Ads Guide will give you a summary and easier way to visualize all the requirements and specifications for running a number of different ads in Facebook. Take 15-20 minutes and play around with it so that you can go over all ads.

#8 Don’t go through the Blueprint Courses

Instead, spend your time watching the recorded webinars that Facebook has published on its Blueprint courses section.

To be completely honest, I found most courses a bit too basic and not so helpful. If you are running out of time and have to quickly prepare for the exam, definitely go over the webinars instead of reading the blueprint courses.

Hope that helps and let us know other tips, suggestions or guides that you think would be helpful to share with the community.
