2, How Much Does the Facebook Blueprint Certification Cost?

We get this question a lot in our community:

How much does facebook blueprint exams costs

The cost is between $75-$150 for each certification exam.

Cost varies depending on the city you live in. So basically, for each exam, you will have to pay that same amount.

What happens if I fail the certification exam?

You have to wait 5 days to retake the same test.

Do you have to pay again?

Most definitely. You will have to pay the same cost until you pass that specific certification exam.

How can I can recertified?

Keep reading below to see your options.

3, How Do I Sign Up To Take The Facebook Blueprint Certification Exam?

Facebook does a great job documenting the process and its pretty straightforward but it can be hard to find the info and locate the different steps you need to take.

You basically have two options:

  1. Take the exam at home on your computer through an online proctor
  2. Go to a Pearson’s VUE training center and take the exam there

Arrive or sign into an exam 30 minutes prior to your exam start time

Make sure you test your computer in order to make sure you can take the exams without a problem.

You need to download a software in order to take the exams online.

  1. Run the system test and run a simulation.
  2. Review policies and procedures
  3. Verify system requirements
    1. Windows 10
    2. Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
    3. Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
    4. Mac OSX 10.10 or newer

You need to have a valid identification ID during the exam.

This is SUPER IMPORTANT!

It needs to be a government-issued form of ID that matches your name on your Facebook Blueprint profile.

We get a lot of students who can’t take the exam as their ID does not match their profile ID.

What type of ID’s are accepted?

Driver’s license, military ID, identification card (national/state/province identity card), alien registration card (green card, permanent resident, visa), and government-issued local language ID (not in Roman characters) – accepted only if issued from the country in which the candidate is testing

You can reschedule or cancel your exam only if you make the change up to 24 hours before your appointment in order to get a full refund.

4, How Long Do I Have To Finish The Test?

The exam lasts 75 minutes. The number of questions may vary but most likely you will have to answer between 50-60 questions during that time.

Also expect to spend 10-20 minutes going through Facebook’s protocol:

  • Checking you room
  • Making sure you don’t have anything else on your table
  • Verifying your government-issued ID
  • Disconnecting you monitors, turning off your cel phones, and much more
  • Make sure you read Facebook protocols for taking the exams

Download the procter and do a test a day prior to your exam to make sure you won’t have issues during test day.

5, How Much Do I have To Score In Order To Pass The Facebook Blueprint Exams?

We get this question a lot on our group as well:

what score do i need to pass facebook blueprint exams

You must pass both exams with a score of 700 or higher in order to get your certification.

You will get an immediate score once you finalize the exam. You can score between 300 and 1000.

Facebook will notify you a couple of days later confirming you’ve passed your exam.

6, How Can I Get Facebook Blueprint Recertified?

There are basically two ways in which you can get Facebook Blueprint Recertified!

OPTION 1 — TAKE THE NEW ONLINE COURSE AND ASSESSMENT

You can elect to take a free two-hour online course and 20-question assessment to remain certified.
This new Certification Refresh option is only available every other year, so take advantage if that’s your preference! Keep in mind:
    1. The assessment is pass/fail
    2. You may retake the assessment after a 24-hour period
    3. Retakes are unlimited, as long as your certification hasn’t lapsed
  • Both course and assessment are un-proctored and can only be taken online

IMPORTANT: This option ONLY works with the new exams (400-level) and won’t work with the old exams (300-level)

OPTION 2 — RETAKE THE FULL EXAM

As an alternative, you can elect to retake Facebook Certified Media Buying Professional exam to refresh your certification.

The exam has 60 questions and is 105 minutes long.

Keep in mind:
  1. 700/1000 is a passing score
  2. There is a five-day waiting period to retake the exam
  3. You must take a proctored exam online or at a Pearson VUE testing center
You can visit the following website to schedule your recertification 👇👇👇

7, Are There Any Free Courses For The Facebook Blueprint Certification?

Facebook has two different sites that you can use and learn more about the exam materials, take free courses and learn more about Facebook advertising and campaigns.

I know these can be confusing…

Even I am not 100% sure of the difference and why they have two different websites now, but here is my take on them.

1, Facebook Blueprint Course Catalog

Facebook Blueprint Course Catalog was the first website launched by Facebook where you could (still can) take multiple courses or tracks.

If you are planning on taking the 400-level exams, start here!

facebook blueprint student catalog

They have hundreds of stand-alone courses on every topic you can image.

The good:

  • They are always launching new courses on the website with new tools and materials that can help.

The bad:

  • Old courses not necessarily have the most updated content

2, Facebook For Business

This website is more recent and has lessons but also Series of Courses that you can take on specific topics.

If you are planning on taking the 100-level exams, start here!

facebook business learning units

For example, you can take the “Complete Guide to Using Instagram For Business”

facebook blueprint learning topics

It will show you different lessons that you can take in order to go over the complete guide for Instagram ads.

They have a number of different guides and topics that you can take.

The good…

  • The content is newer so more relevant and up to date with Facebook changes and updates on its platform.

The bad…

  • They are more geared towards beginners and won’t find all the info for the exams
  • It’s harder to explore topics and look for specific lessons
